You can organize and create playlist of your digital media collection like pictures and videos. To create a playlist, simply drag and drop the media file from Details pane to List pane.
In the Now playing mode, minimal controls are visible for the media file currently being played. You can view videos, movies, pictures and listen to music. While playing, you can perform various functions on the file like forward, reverse, fast forward, fast reverse, pause and stop from its playback controls area. You can also select visualizations to view in this mode by right-clicking on the main window.
Probably the most trending feature in almost every application is sharing. It can automatically share what is currently playing in your player on Facebook and Twitter. You can select from what information about the file you want to share. This plug-in can also collect additional information about the music from online music stores. The Sync tab in player library mode guides through the automatic and manual sync process.
Windows Media Player is compatible with Windows mobile and some game consoles. It is still in the process of being introduced on other platforms. While it obviously supports Windows Media codecs, it also supports mp3, mp4, wav, mpeg-4 and a number of other media file formats.

Click Download under a skin listed there to save it to Windows. It will open with the new skin that you downloaded as shown in the snapshot below. You can select a skin there and then click Apply Skin to open it in the Now Playing mode.
Alternatively, select a skin there and press the X button to delete it. You can select alternative visualizations by right-clicking them in the Now Playing mode and then selecting Visualizations to open the submenu shown below. Note that not all WMP skins support visualizations. Click Download under a visualization to save it to a folder. Then open the folder and click the visualization file to add it to WMP. You should find it listed on the Visualizations submenu.
You can customize that navigation pane by right-clicking Album and selecting Customize navigation pane. That will open the window in the image below. Now you can add more navigation categories to the left of the library from this window. For example, under Pictures you could select Tags , Date taken and Rating. Click OK to apply the new settings, and the library pane will include those categories as below. To quickly revert back to the original settings, press the Restore Defaults button on the Customize Navigation Pane window.
There are a few plug-ins you can add to Windows Media Player. One of those is Windows Media Player Plus that includes some extra options to further customize the software with. Run through the setup wizard to add the plug-in to WMP.
