I surely did not lose a printer driver - that makes no sense to reinstall it. It surely would help if the Windows folks would just provide the solution to why Windows 8 sometimes thinks the printer is online and sometimes sees it as offline. I agree with this comment! I did get my new computer, with windows 8.
