Vista consent ui for administrative applications stopped working




















After windows creator update "Consent UI for administrave applications" hangs for every app, game or screen opened. Several games do not run anymore at all or crash shortly after. No malware expected as nothing installed after creator update which caused the issue.

Since the issue appeared after installing the Windows Creators update, we suggest running the System File Checker first to help us scan and replace any corrupted Windows system files that may have incurred on your computer during the update.

At the moment the Creators update is not triggered yet by Windows Update not sorry for that but as soon at it does I will reinstall and if the issue comes up again I will try above solution. Thank you for the post. Indeed we do run the Creator Update and Symantec on our domain and the link you have supplied looks like the symptoms we are experiencing.

Unfortunately the bug appears to be crashing our Visual Studio instances so it is technically non-fatal but highly undesirable in a development company! We are escalating with our support channels. The content you requested has been removed.
